'I didn't feel any guilt period': Neighbor gets revenge on HOA by fulfilling a kid's birthday wish

Ahhh, when revenge is served it's served hot and delicious—like a NYC slice. Whether it's petty or full-throttle, getting revenge is so satisfying it really puts things back into perspective and maybe gives you a little bit of faith in the universe. Revenge is simply karma you made sure followed through. 

Recently, an epic story of satisfying revenge was posted to Reddit on the subreddit r/prettyrevenge. The outcome of the manmade karma was just *chef's kiss*! Long story short, a new homeowner was getting harassed by the power-drunk entitled HOA. It became an annoying back and forth of threatening legal actions. However, this person made friends with a neighbor who happened to live on the dead-end cul-de-sac block where all the HOA members lived—in fact, he was next door neighbors with the worse of them all, the HOA president. The two were just casually chatting and this neighbor let out that his son wanted a drum set for his birthday, but he couldn't afford it and his kid's dream of starting a rock band would just have to wait. Cue petty revenge!

The homeowner banded together other neighbors who hated the HOA and gathered enough money together to buy this kid not only a drum set, but basically an entire, very loud, band set—with mics and eight-foot amps. The kid was SO happy that him and his friends (none of which are practiced musicians) immediately started playing together and all the time. 

The kids played all hours of the night and the neighbors could not sleep, the neighbors that were the evil HOA council. They made noise complaint after noise complaint, but really nothing happened. The complains would be written up and then nothing. The HOA were so annoyed, their tantrums got worse and eventually, it got so bad that the president was not reelected. He even eventually got divorced by his wife a year later, but does that have to do with the petty revenge? Who knows?! All we know is that this petty revenge also came with making a kid's dream come true, so it truly was a win-win. Scroll on to get the whole story!

    Font - Alright so I want to preface, by saying usually I don't seek revenge or whatever on other people. But an HOA president annoyed the hell out of me and certain other residents.     Font - him with other desserts. A neighborhood welcoming committee. I was embarrassed, because I'd answered the door in pajamas. The guy in the expensive suit began to talk about how they hoped I'd feel welcomed and that if I needed anything not to hesitate to ask him or someone else for help.     Font - When I got a legal notice eventually from a lawyer who represented the HOA, I immediately contacted my own lawyer and started pressuring the HOA that if any more bogus letters came to my house, I'd go to the police to file a report against him that I was being extorted and defrauded (he handled the majority of the legal stuff).     Font - them I was at his house, having a beer with his Dad watching a sports game with him and a few other HOA haters. The speakers cranked the sound and the walls were literally shaking. Absolutely horrible sounds started playing as they tried to jam together (they definitely weren't like Kiss or Queen).     Font - actually demanded them to confiscate the instruments and threw a tantrum or two when they wouldn't).     Font - lawsuit. Even if it lost, it was a bad image for him to have and he'd never have a chance at the HOA presidency again. And I oh so casually mentioned that, as well as it would be such a shame if he ended up in a jumpsuit. He got the implications pretty clearly after that comment.     Font - His wife filed for divorce within a year later. Some of us just assumed she got the house cuz he's no longer there. No one knows exactly why they broke up, but a lot of us have our own guesses we've gossiped about in secret.
